Result of Tarion inspection
Well, since Charles hadn't addressed our deficiency list, we had to have a Tarion inspection. We hadn't heard from Charles and Tarion hadn't either, so we didn't think he would even show up. I had sent Charles a fax asking him to come with a replacement broom for the one he and Dave broke, and the replacement ladder bumpers that he and his crew took off my extension ladder. Charles made some lame excuse that he hadn't received the fax. I didn't believe it for a minute.
To make a long story short, Tarion found that Charles had a lot of deficiencies he had to fix, and gave him until October 17th to make it right, which is just over two weeks away. I will be surprised if Charles does anything.

Beautiful fall weather
Besides having some record setting temperatures this past week (it was 30C on Wednesday!), we have been having some beautiful sunsets.
These fruits look like blueberries, hang on a vine like grapes, and taste like a very tart grape but have a large stone. I wonder what they are called.
A picturesque fall country scene, complete with a horse.
Sat Sep 29th - we saw three deer run across the road right in front of us when we were taking Tawny for a walk this morning. They were about 15 feet away from us, and Tawny almost dislocated my shoulder because she wanted to run after them. She hasn't learned that deer are way faster than her...

laying sod
Friday ~2pm: The sod arrived on Friday afternoon - 180 rolls (2'x5'), about 2 1/2 pallets worth.
Friday ~4pm: Here we have spread out peat moss - this represents about 25 bales of peat moss (3.8 cu ft each). This is to help the sod hold onto the water as the soil is very poor.
Saturday ~7am: We laid out one of the pallets of sod on Friday before and after supper, and then set the sprinkler up.
Saturday ~11am: Here the sod is all down. And how pretty it looks too.
