My name is Leo. My wife Katherine and I are planning on building a house here in Ottawa this coming spring, and stumbled on to your blog after doing a search on ICF contractors in our area.
I couldn't help noticing some striking similarities to the home you have just built and the one we are planning: Firstly, we're also constructing an ICF bungalow with stone and stucco finish; we're also planning on using radiant floor heating and energy-efficient appliances throughout the house; and finally, Herb Lagois was our house designer as well.
I was hoping you could answer some questions for us as we're in full preparation mode for the impending storm. After reading your blog, I'm tempted to scrap the plans altogether and just pitch a tent on our lot. I'm sure you have some advice that may prevent our alcoholism / divorce / nervous breakdown.
